3 months on the road

3 months on the road. It almost asks to sum things up a bit: what to say? It’s been a ride. My smuggy social media pics must have at least mildly piss some of you off 😁

Anyway. I’ve been a bit burned out from being on the constant move lately – I guess that I am not a nomadic type. I don’t like that term “nomad” anyway. In my head it connotates some self-righteous asshole with a pony tail and trendy tattoo sleeve, who knows everything better than you, like if travelling didn’t teach understanding and honesty. Bless the exceptions I’ve met on my journeys – thanks for being – you know who you are πŸ˜‰

Anyway. Locations. I did hope that Sucre, Bolivia will be the place to stay for a while but all the liberal attitude towards music I believed I’ve gained lately has been harshly tested by systematic bombing campaigns of URF (United Reggaeton Forces), supported by DFA (Dance Floor Alliance) AKA the worst of early 90s dance floor music industry vomited back then. Sorry Mark Knopffler I whined about you in the past, I think that you would be a pleasure to be heard for me now. Even that tune of yours that starts with the storm would do πŸ˜₯

I was thought a lesson that URF&DFA are together stronger than love 😯 because it prevented me to seek any form of love at all. Or maybe I am not as desperate as I previously thought πŸ˜ƒ

Tonite, I am moving on to La Paz and later Titicaca, Peru, Ecuador and finally, the mighty Colombia – one of the main reasons why I’ve picked SA as a destination of my travels, which dates back to 2004 in N16′Colberg Place dayz 😎

When I get to lower attitudes somewhere pass Cusco, I’ll be looking for a quiet place near by the beach with no reggaeton. Even reggae would do. The Dire Straits comment up there it was just a moment of weakness πŸ˜‰

In the meantime, I’ll try to catch up with this site, which positively occupies my mind now, even-though I am currently writing boring-ish guidey pieces because I decided to sum up of all the research I’ve done, especially on Patagonia. I am however looking forward to get more into the “features” section, which will be more fun and hopefully funny.

Hope everyone’s OK πŸ˜‰ I know you all working hard while I am complaining about my temporary travel burn out. Don’t worry – unless I win a lottery – I’ll be one of you soon πŸ˜‰
