I’m certain that the term “off the beaten path” came to its existence only because of “the beaten path” itself. There’s no dilemma about the chicken and egg.
Some scammers here are so good and cleverly inventive that sometimes I even feel good paying the extra monies because they deserve it 😀
OK. However smug or weird this might sound to those who have never travelled for longer periods – travellers also have shit to complain about.
Cusco is a beautiful town but mass tourism is often accompanied with certain level of SCAM and Cusco is all but an exception to this rule.
